India continue to dominate T20I cricket, especially in men's cricket. The World Cup champions are also the top-ranked side in the ICC T20I Rankings with a slender lead over second-placed Australia. Indians also stand on top of the rankings in the batting and bowling categories, that too by a considerable margin.
Abhishek Sharma, who became the fastest to 1000 T20I runs in terms of balls faced, is the top-ranked batter, comfortably ahead of second-placed Phil Salt from England. The other Indians in the top 10 are Tilak Varma (4th) and skipper Suryakumar Yadav (10th) although the Indian captain has had an obvious fall due to a poor 2025.
With the ball, Varun Chakaravarthy is going like a runaway train and is placed at no.1 in the bowler rankings with a massive 119-point lead over second-placed Jacob Duffy of New Zealand. India don't have another bowler in the top 10 with Axar Patel (13th) being the next highest bowler in the rankings. Jasprit Bumrah, shockingly, doesn't feature even in the top 20.
The all-rounder rankings have a surprise with Pakistan's Saim Ayub, a batter who bowls as an optional resource, at no.1 with Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza at second spot. India's Hardik Pandya is at no.4, which is understandable given his lack of game time in 2025.

In the women's game, Deepti Sharma continues her purple patch as he goes to no.1 in the bowler rankings. She is also at third spot in the T20I all-rounder rankings. Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana is ranked third in the batting rankings but with three more matches left in the year, India's vice-captain has an opportunity to go past Hayley Matthews and Beth Mooney, and become the top-ranked batter.
India are ranked third in the women's T20I team rankings, though the game between them and second-spot England isn't a lot. Leaders Australia also don't have the same domination that they do in the ODI rankings.
