'We have the best finisher right now': RCB fans explode on social media after Tim David smashes 30-ball 98 to end Abu Dhabi T10 as leading run-scorer and six-hitter

It was absolute carnage in the final of the Abu Dhabi T10 League between Aspin Stallions and UAE Bulls in Abu Dhabi on Sunday (November 30). Australia's Tim David reserved his best for the summit clash, unleashing a 30-ball 98 to power the Bulls to a monstrous total of 150-1 from their allotted ten overs.

David ended the Bulls innings in brutal fashion by hammering eight sixes off the last 11 balls that he faced in the innings. In fact, those 11 deliveries came in the final two overs with Rovman Powell facing just a single delivery. The Australian ended his innings with 12 sixes and three fours, taking his overall run tally in the tournament to 295 at a strike rate of 248.

This whirlwind innings made David the highest run-scorer of the tournament and his 26 sixes are also the most by any batter in the tournament. No other batter has breached 25 sixes in this tournament and the bulk of David's work came in the knockout stages. He struck a 13-ball 40 in the eliminator and followed it up with a 18-ball 57 in Qualifier 2.

Apart from Australian fans, the brigade most happy with David's form is from Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the reigning Indian Premier League champions. David scored only 185 runs in IPL 2025 but most of his little knocks were of high impact and he had a season strike rate of 185, giving RCB incredible power at the back end with Romario Shepherd.

The Aussie powerhouse was bought at a very nominal price of Rs 3 crore at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. David has had an incredible 2025 in T20Is, smashing 399 runs for Australia at a mind-boggling strike rate of 197.50 in international cricket.
