It's been just over a week since India won their first-ever World Cup in women's cricket and the celebrations are understandably still in full flow. All cricketers from the title-winning side have been felicitated by the BCCI as well as the Central government, and have also got rewards from their respective states.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee on Monday (November 10) has announced that a cricket stadium would be named after Ghosh in North Bengal. More details on this are keenly awaited.

This would be the icing on the cake for Ghosh who has already been awarded lavishly by the state government and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). While the CAB presented her with a golden bat and golden ball, along with a gold chain. She was also given a cheque of Rs 34 lakh with the valuation being Rs 1 lakh per run scored by her in the World Cup final.

Ghosh is the first cricketer from West Bengal to win a senior World Cup. Legends from the state, Sourav Ganguly and Jhulan Goswami, were on stage to felicitate Ghosh on November 8. Meanwhile, the DSP appointment for Ghosh means that she joins a select club of cricketers who have been awarded with a police job.

Ghosh's teammate Deepti Sharma was awarded by the Uttar Pradesh police while Mohammad Siraj and Joginder Sharma have also been awarded with the DSP post in the past. The Bengal batter ended World Cup 2025 as the leading six-hitter with 12 maximums and played plenty of impactful knocks in the tournament.
