India VS Pakistan ICC Champions Trophy LIVE: After a worrying start at the Dubai International Stadium, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan managed to rebuild Pakistan's innings on Sunday with some sensible batting. Openers Babar Azam (23 off 26) and Imam-Ul-Haq (10 off 26) were gone before the batting powerplay concluded, but Saud and Rizwan stitched an important partnership for Pakistan, frustrating the Indian bowlers who thought they had put their team in the driving seat.
Both Rizwan and Shakeel began slowly but gradually increased the rate at which they were scoring, particularly targeting poor deliveries from the Indian spinners. Saud Shakeel brought up the fourth fifty of his ODI career, accompanied by four boundaries. Rizwan made 46 from 77 balls before being castled by Axar Patel. He charged out of the crease looking to dispatch a tossed-up delivery, but ended up missing the ball completely. The wicket-keeper batter found the fence three times.

The duo came together in the tenth over of the game and have faced six different bowlers. They brought up the 100-run partnership in the 33rd over, but Rizwan fell shortly after.
While their partnership of 104 runs was of immense value for Pakistan today, it is nowhere close to the highest batting partnership by their country in ICC Champions Trophy records.
In fact, the highest partnership for any wicket by Pak batters in the tournament came against India in 2009. Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Yousuf made 206 runs for the fourth wicket against their neighbours at Centurion on 26 September 2009. While Malik went on to score 128 runs, Yousuf made 87. Their stand help Pakistan post 302/9 in 50 overs, before managing to bowl out India for 248 runs.
Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Yousuf's partnership is the third all-time biggest partnership in the history of the tournament. It is also Pakistan's only entry in the top-10 list, data on ESPNCricInfo showed.
