PSG's hunt to shortlist candidates to replace Kylian Mbappe has reportedly taken a halt at Anfield. Not long after reports of the Ligue 1 side's interest in AC Milan's Portuguese winger Rafael Leao, latest reports claim that the club is also interested in Liverpool's Colombian winger Luis Diaz.

PSG will have to pay Premier League leaders something around €120-€145 million for the 27-year-old winger, Goal.com said in a report. Luis Diaz,  who has scored 11 goals and assisted five times for the Reds so far this season, joined from FC Porto in 2022 for £40 million. With manager Jurgen Klopp's departure confirmed, there is uncertainty over Diaz's future with Liverpool and PSG hope to make the most of it.

However, the huge amount of money involved is not the only concern for the Parisians. According to the news report, Barcelona and AC Milan are also interested in signing Luis Diaz, whose current contract is valid until 2027. While PSG can easily outplay the two clubs financially, Diaz may still opt for either of the other bidders if he finds a better project (if he decides to leave Liverpool, after all).

Kylian Mbappe, PSG's highest-rated footballer following the departure of Neymar and Lionel Messi, had told the club of his decision to leave the club this summer. While it is not officially confirmed, multiple reports have stated that the French captain is heading to Real Madrid. The Los Blancos have been long linked with the 25-year-old World Cup winner and had seen a famous bid to sign him fail at the last moment.

Ever since Mbappe officially communicated his intention to leave, PSG have been on the lookout to find a credible replacement for the talented attacker.
