Team India speedster Jasprit Bumrah has been making headlines despite having been released from the squad before the fourth Test, citing personal reasons. It was reported that the pacer had taken leave to make preparations for his wedding, which is rumoured to take place this weekend.

Though Bumrah has not confirmed the news, sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) were quoted as saying that the cricketer had taken leave for his wedding.

ANI had reported earlier that Bumrah had informed the BCCI that he is getting married and was asked to be relieved from the last Test match against England. He will also miss the T20I series against England.

However, details of the wedding have been under wraps and unconfirmed reports have been fanning the speculations surrounding Bumrah’s bride. Now, it is being reported that 2014 Miss India finalist and sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan is the one who is marrying the fast bowler.

Ganesan is a sports presenter and TV personality, who has hosted shows with Star Sports during the Indian Premier League (IPL). In addition, the 28-year-old has also worked as a presenter on the Premier Badminton League as well.

She participated in the 2012 Femina Style Diva show and went on to feature in the Femina Miss India Pune competition in 2013, in which she was one of the finalists.

She did some modeling work, making her TV debut with MTV Splitsvilla 7, before joining Star Sports as a presenter.

Ganesan had co-hosted Star Sports’ popular show Match Point and Cheeky Singles as part of the 2019 World Cup coverage. She has also presented shows for the Kolkata Knight Riders named ‘The Knight Club’ where KKR fans interacted and talked about the team.

Ganesan has also not given any indication about her reported wedding to Bumrah, though fans have taken to social media to congratulate the two.

Bumrah, who has been rested for the five-match T20I series against England, played only two matches out of the four-match Test series. India won the series 3-1 and qualified for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand that will take place in Southampton in June.
