Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to field in the first ODI against the West Indies after the match was reduced to 43-over-a-side affair due to rains at Providence, Guyana, on Thursday.

The wet outfield due to rains before the start of the match forced the toss to be delayed. The curtailed match will begin two hours later than the original 7pm IST start.
