Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to bowl first against West Indies in the first ODI of the five-match series in Guwahati on Sunday.

After a humiliating two-match Test series that India won 2-0, West Indies are looking to redeem themselves in the ODI series.

Expecting a tough challenge from the hosts, the West Indies team are targetting scores above 300. Oshane Thomas and Chanderpaul Hemraj will be making their debut for the visitors.

Ranked ninth in the world, West Indies lost 1-2 to Bangladesh in their last ODI assignment and have not won a series since 2014.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant will make his ODI debut in Guwahati, and pacer Khaleel Ahmed has also found a spot in the team.
