England captain Joe Root won the toss and chose to bat against India at Kennington Oval, London today.

England have an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match Test series and are looking to end it on a high with a win in what is Alastair Cook's last match. Cook announced his retirement after the Southampton Test and said that the one in the Oval against India would be his last. He would continue to be associated with Essex County during the coming season.

England are fielding an unchanged squad for the final Test.

India, on the other hand, have made some changes to their playing XI. While Hanuma Vihari makes his debut at the Oval, Prithvi Shaw has not been included in the playing XI.

Ravichandran Ashwin has also been rested in this match following an aggravated hip strain.

Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja has been included to play in the final match while Hardik Pandya has been rested.
