Despite 'Grand Theft Auto VI' having a release date of May 26, 2026, the hype for Rockstar Games' most awaited title of all time never dies down.
One eagle-eyed fan went above and beyond, noticing a detail in the second trailer for the game, released on May 6 (a Tuesday) this year.
The fan pointed out that Jason, one of the rumoured protagonists of GTA 6, was wearing a watch showing "11:08" as the time.
Pointing out that "11:08" might be a secret reference to 11/08/2025—November 8, in the American style of writing dates—the fan speculated that the third trailer for Rockstar's latest could be released on this date.
Additionally, the next earnings call takes place on November 6, so it’s more likely that we’ll get an announcement either before or after the call. pic.twitter.com/wHLAfXABwI

In an X post that has since garnered almost half a million views, the fan notes that the first trailer for the game was announced on November 8, 2023.
"That's a Saturday no way the Release on a Saturday it will either happens close before or after the Call "IF" Something happens in November," a Redditor wrote, disagreeing with the fan on X, referring to Rockstar Games' habit of releasing important information on Tuesdays.

Yet, executives at Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive are also scheduled to take part in an earnings conference call on November 6—which might also point to a possible window for the trailer release.
As for the trailer itself, one Redditor has speculated that "R* might surprise us with a gameplay trailer instead of [a cinematic] trailer 3".
"Has it been confirmed there’s another trailer soon?" another Redditor wrote, casting doubt on whether there even would be a third trailer to release.

GTA VI is the sixth instalment of the hugely successful 'Grand Theft Auto' franchise, coming after GTA 5, which was released more than a decade ago, but still remains a fine example of Rockstar Games at their best.
