In its latest update, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has shared the video of the Chandrayaan-3 rover ramping down from the lander to the moon's surface.

ISRO had scripted history as the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft made a soft landing on the moon's surface on Wednesday. With the success of the mission, India has joined the other three countries – China, Soviet Union and United States. India has become the first country to land a spacecraft on the lunar south pole.

ISRO has confirmed that all the system of the lander are normal and all the activities are happening on schedule.

Meanwhile, ISRO had said that it is likely to face issues on the moon’s surface relating to the temperature and especially due to lunar dust.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit ISRO team in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Around four hours after the soft landing, rover 'Pragan' rolled out of the module to undertake in-situ scientific experiments on the lunar surface.

The images released by the lander upon touchdown show it choosing a relatively flat region on the Moon's surface for soft-landing.

The images captured by the Landing Imager Camera after the landing showed a portion of Chandrayaan-3's landing site. "Seen also is a leg and its accompanying shadow," ISRO noted. "Chandrayaan-3 chose a relatively flat region on the lunar surface," the space agency said.
