Celebrating Womanhood’, on the life and times of India’s most celebrated Life Coach and President Awardee, Dr. Sohini Sastri was featured recently in the International Short Film Festival at NABC 2022 at Las Vegas, USA on 2nd July 2022. The film won the prestigious Jury Award by the panel of judges including eminent film directors, Bollywood Director, Anirudha RoyChowdhury (Director of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer “Pink”), leading Bengali film Directors Sudeshna Roy and Satarupa Sanyal along with Morshedul Islam film director from Bangladesh.
India’s only President’s Award winning astrologer Dr. Sohini Sastri was present in Planet Hollywood- Las Vegas to receive the Award and expressed her delight that her life journey, one of struggle, hardship and breaking the glass ceiling in a male dominated bastion shall not only tell the story of a woman but hoped that her story shall inspire women from every walk of life.
Talking about her motivation to take up astrology, Dr Sohini Sastri says, “I have been engaged in social service since my school life and I realised that I shall be able to help and do good for people through astrology and also being inspired by my Gurudev I took it up professionally.” Dr Sohini Sastri is the only person from India to have been felicitated with the Gandhi Nobel Peace Award 2020.
“Overcoming negative image created by some and making people understand that astrology only does good for people was surely a hurdle that I have had to overcome,” says Dr Sastri.
Dr.Shastri believes in and propounds the ideology of astrology being a proven science which has the power and potential to prepare us to deal with what’s destined. The planets can be harnessed and made amenable to the individual seeking help with appropriate gems and stones that she prescribes.
