Asus unveiled the new ZenFone 6 smartphone, the Taiwanese company's first with a rotating camera, in Spain on Thursday.

The Asus ZenFone 6, like Samsung's Galaxy A80, has a dual camera setup with a flipping camera, which can be rotated vertically while taking selfies. The ZenFone 6 comes with a 48-megapixel primary shooter with f/1.79, laser focus, and dual-LED flash as well as a 13-megapixel secondary ultra-wide-angle camera

Price

Priced at around Rs 39,000, the Asus ZenFone 6 is available in the 6GB + 64GB variant, going up to 6GB + 128GB, which is priced around Rs 43,800, and the 8GB + 256GB variant around Rs 47,000. The ZenFone 6 is available in the Asus eShop, and will be shipped from May 25.

Asus ZenFone 6 sports a full-screen front with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and back featuring a 3D-curved glass.

The Asus ZenFone 6 comes with a dual-SIM (Nano) setup and runs on Android Pie with the company's Zen UI 6 on top, and can be upgraded to Android Q and Android R. The ZenFone features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) IPS screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 92 percent screen-to-body ratio, 600 nits peak brightness, and 100 DCI-P3 colour gamut.

The Asus ZenFone 6 is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, and comes with 8GB of RAM and Adreno 640 GPU. It also has a 5,000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4.0. The ZenFone 6 has up to 256GB of inbuilt storage (UFS 2.1), and a microSD card slot that can expand up to 2TB.

The Asus ZenFone 6 will be available in two colours―Midnight Black and Twilight Silver. It is yet to be determined when the ZenFone 6 will arrive in India.
