Google unveiled the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL on Tuesday that will be available in the market at a starting price of Rs 39,999.

The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL have been priced at Rs 39,999 and Rs 44,999 respectively.

The Pixel 3a and Pixel will be available from May 15 exclusively on Flipkart.

Competing with flagship phones from Apple and Samsung and OnePlus, Google is offering a more affordable line up with the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL in the burgeoning premium smartphone segment in India.

The Pixel 3a and 3a XL have a 5.6inch and a 6-inch OLED display respectively, with Full HD+ resolution and Pixel's two-tone design at the rear. The devices also have 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 12.2MP rear and 8MP front camera, and 3,700 mAh battery. In addition, there are features such as the Always-On Display for notification icons on the lock screen and Now Playing for identifying music playing nearby.

The Pixel 3a and 3a XL also feature the custom-built Titan M chip to help protect most sensitive data on the device.

The eSIM on Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will now be supported by Airtel and Reliance Jio, the company said.

Google had introduced its Pixel 3 and 3XL in India in October last year priced between Rs 71,000-92,000. The prices of these devices now hover around Rs 57,000-74,000.

Google has also announced the upcoming version of its operating system―Android Q―that will natively support foldable displays and focusses on key areas like security and well-being.

It also showcased among other things a “Live Caption” feature that offers subtitles on real-time for videos powered by machine learning.
