Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), under the aegis of the ministry of science and technology, will organise ‘RISE Conclave 2026’, a national platform on innovation and entrepreneurship, in Bengaluru on June 13 and 14.

The event, with the theme ‘Innovation & Entrepreneurship-Driven Growth for Viksit Bharat 2047’ is expected to attract delegates from the aerospace, food technology, data science and AI sectors. The two-day event will witness more than 800 delegates from organisations such as CSIR, ISRO, DST, ICAR, IISc, as well as start-ups, MSMEs, industry representatives and policymakers. They are expected to deliberate on areas such as industry collaborations and challenges, building next-generation start-ups, commercialisation of CSIR patents through start-ups, venture funding for start-ups, and aligning academic research with industry needs, among others.

In addition to this, the RISE Conclave will also showcase start-ups exhibiting products, technologies and services, providing entrepreneurs with an opportunity to learn and experience the intricacies of the start-up ecosystem.

There will also be a science and technology (S&T) pavilion representing CSIR, ICAR, ICMR, ISRO, etc., for students and young researchers interested in pursuing scientific research, developing critical problem-solving skills and gaining hands-on laboratory experience.

The sixth RISE Conclave in Bengaluru will be inaugurated by Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister for Science and Technology.

The event will be spearheaded by CSIR and its constituent laboratories — CSIR-NAL and CSIR-4PI, both situated in Bengaluru, and CSIR-CFTRI in Mysuru — along with other Science and Technology departments and the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).

Previous editions of the conclave were held in Jammu, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Lucknow and Chennai.

The RISE Conclave 2026 in Bengaluru will focus on three key areas: ‘Aerospace Technologies for Growth’, ‘AI for Everyone – Navigating Technology, Society & Ethics’, and ‘AGRI-FOOD Nexus 2026: Architecting the Lab-to-Market Pipeline’.

The event will also feature eight panel sessions involving start-ups and MSMEs from the aerospace, data science and food technology sectors, along with 25 keynote and panel speakers from industry, academia and research institutions.

Some of the participating organisations include Bosch, Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), Airbus, L&T, BEML, Schneider Electric, venture capital firms, start-ups, IBM, Licious, Happilo, ISRO, GKVK-UAS, IIM Bangalore, IIM Nagpur and IISc, among others.
