US fighter jets strike military facility near the Chabahar Free Trade Zone: Report

Explosions were heard from Iran’s Chabahar port on the 17th day of the conflict with the US.

US jets reportedly struck the IRGC’s military positions in the region, Al Jazeera reported, citing the Voice of America’s Persian. The information came from the Halash Human Rights Organisation. The strike targeted military installations in the Koh Laki areas, which are located behind the Chabahar Free Trade Zone.

The full details of the damage caused or casualties have not been released.

The Chabahar free trade zone is located in the Country’s southeastern Sistan and Balochistan Province near the border with Pakistan.

The port was jointly developed with India and Afghanistan in 2003 and is operated by India Ports Global Limited.
