After US President Donald Trump shared an AI-generated video showing Gaza as a beachfront destination, Hamas has slammed the clip as a "fantasy".
Hamas spokesperson Basem Naim, who is a member of the militant group's political bureau, said the rebuilding of Gaza cannot succeed in a huge prison, adding that Trump's vision does not take into account the cultures and interests of the Palestinians.

Naim said the Palestinians are looking forward to a economically revived Gaza with a better future for its children. However, he pointed out that Hamas is "not struggling to improve prison conditions, but to get rid of the prison and the jailer."
Calling it a fantasy, Rafah mayor Ahmed al-Soufi said if Trump should give the Palestinians a state alongside Israel if he plans to give them a place to live in dignity and a future.
The AI-generated video begins with visuals of a ruined Gaza where men are seen carrying guns as an inscription reads Gaza 2025. Then a question appears: "What's next?" We see children running away from the ruined city into a new Gaza, where we skyscrapers, streets lined with palm tress, Tesla cars, golden beaches and yachts. One of the skyscrapers resemble the Empire State Building.
Elon Musk is seen enjoying his hummus on the beach and later throwing dollar bills into the air. Bearded men are seen dancing on the beach while Trump is seen with dancing with a woman inside a nightclub. We also see a massive golden statue of Trump in the city square while in another shot, a child is seen holding a huge golden balloon shaped like Trump's head.
In the background, a voice sings, "Donald's coming to set you free. Trump Gaza shining bright. Golden future, a brand-new light. Feast and dance. The deed is done."
We also see Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sipping cocktails on the Gaza beach.
Trump's video comes after he said that the US should take over Gaza and permanently remove the entire Palestinian population of about two million people to countries like Egypt and Jordan.
Arab leaders have rejected Trump's proposal, saying it would lead to a regional cycle of violence. The Arab League leaders are scheduled to meet in Cairo on March 4 to chalk out an alternative plan for Gaza.
