The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the notification for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2024, offering a chance to secure various medical officer positions in government departments and organisations.
The UPSC has declared a total of 827 vacancies for various positions, including:
163 Vacancies for Medical Officer Grade (General Duty Medical Officers Sub Cadre) in Central Health Service.
450 Vacancies for Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Railways.
200 Vacancies for General Duty Medical Officer Grade 2 in Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
14 Vacancies for General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council
Eligibility: Candidates with an MBBS degree, including final year exam candidates, are eligible to apply for the UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination.
Age Limit: Applicants should not be above 32 years as of August 1, 2024. Relaxation in age limit is available for certain categories, such as Scheduled Castes, OBCs, and ex-servicemen.
Application Deadline: The online application can be submitted through the website www.upsconline.nic.in, and the last date for application submission is April 30, 2024.
Exam Date: The examination is scheduled to be held on July 14, 2024.
The application fee for the UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination is Rs. 200.
Payment can be made directly at an SBI branch or online. However, there is no fee for women, Scheduled Tribes, and certain other categories.
