Hitting back at the INDIA bloc over its 'vote chori' allegation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to debate the matter in the Parliament.
He said the government is ready to convene a special session of Parliament and dared Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to come forward and discuss the issue.
"Rahul holds the Constitution in hand, but doesn't respect the Constitution. Rahul ji, you don't allow Parliament to run. Be it EVMs, SIR, infiltrators, I challenge you from Hyderabad. We are ready to convene a special session of Parliament. Come for debate," Shah said.
Dismissing the INDIA bloc's rally in Delhi on Sunday as a "save infiltrator" rally, he wondered how the Congress formed governments in states, including Telangana, "if the EVMs are bad," and said that Rahul Gandhi can become Prime Minister only in a mock Parliament.
"We will remove every infiltrator from the electoral rolls," he added.
Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra on Sunday said Prime Minister Modi will not go anywhere so long as the Congress leader is there manufacturing "non-issues in his bid to create anarchy".
"This Hindustan does not belong to your 'abbujan' (father). It belongs to Hindustanis," Patra said, hitting back at Gandhi for calling the 2024 election "illegal".
At the 'Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao' protest in the national capital on Sunday, Rahul Gandhi had warned that Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar would be put in jail for "treason" for alleged vote theft during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah would face "legal action".
