According to Twisha Sharma’s friend Prachi, the accused mother-in-law and her husband Samarth had hidden her personal phone after her death during the investigation.

Prachi said that Twisha owned two phones, one which she used for work and the other for personal contacts.

She claimed that Twisha collected evidence related to the alleged abuse on her personal phone. The mobile contained crucial information, such as her chats, call recordings, and videos.

Prachi also claimed that police investigators had a huge lapse during the search and managed to recover her work phone on the day of the incident. She said that her personal phone was with the in-laws and that they had deliberately withheld it from the investigators.

She also said that the investigators recovered the second mobile about three to four days after her death, and only when the matter came to light after she and others pressured the police to recover the mobile.

She also accused Giribala Singh and her son of mental harassment.

Prachi also raised a question about the validity of the first post-mortem report. She claimed that the report recorded Twisha’s height as 161 centimetres when her actual height was 172 centimetres.

Meanwhile, Giribala Singh has argued that Twisha’s family were trying to influence the the case through digital records, including audio recordings and WhatsApp chats.

She has filed an application in court, claiming that the WhatsApp chats and audio clips circulating on social media are fabricated. She also said that the police did not record the contents of the seized DVR.

She also demanded that the mobile phones of Twisha's relatives and acquaintances be confiscated and that digital forensics be conducted to determine where these chats were generated and circulated.
