The blackmailing case against Kannada social media influencer Sadhana Shetty has now taken a dramatic turn, with the wife of the complainant coming forward to prove Shetty's innocence. Karthik, who accused Sadhana Shetty of demanding a huge sum, is the real culprit behind the scandal, the woman alleged.
Harshitha, identified by Kannada media as the wife of Karthik, claimed that the man had sexually harassed Sadhana on the pretext of marriage and then devised a diabolical plan to evade consequences.
Entrepreneur Karthik, who claimed to be the owner of the “HK Permanent Make Up Clinic”, had alleged that the influencer had sent his private photos to his wife, Harshitha, and demanded crores of rupees from him.
As per a TV9 Kannada report, Harshitha, who is said to be the clinic’s director, has now revealed that Karthik was not a major businessman but merely an employee handling marketing for the clinic. She reportedly confessed that even she fell for Karthik's vile plot initially, but was convinced otherwise when Sadhana presented solid proof before her.
The hunted becomes the hunter?
According to Harshitha, the social media star was sexually harassed by Karthik on the pretext of marriage. Karthik had reportedly taken Sadhana to Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and the Maldives before arranging accommodation for her in Hyderabad.
When she came to know about the truth in 2025, Sadhana confronted Karthik in front of his family. However, Karthik was able to convince his wife back then that Sadhana was making false accusations to extort money from them.
Realising that he could face trouble if Sadhana approached the police, Karthik allegedly devised a plan to trap her, TV9 Kannada reported Harshitha as saying. With the help of friends, he allegedly managed to access her phone before returning it. After he planted evidence against her in the device, he allegedly made threatening calls to Sadhana several times.
Sadhana reached out to Harshitha with evidence which revealed Karthik's true colours. The man had allegedly deceived several other young women in a similar manner, the report added.
After staying away from her husband for two months, Harshitha reportedly submitted evidence related to the case to the Jayanagar police, the Karnataka and Telangana DIGs, and the National Commission for Women.
