A poultry farm owner in Uttar Pradesh has filed a police complaint after 140 chickens reportedly died following exposure to loud music played during a wedding procession on the night of April 25.

According to the complaint, the poultry farm was located close to a route used by a wedding party, which included a DJ system mounted on a vehicle. The owner alleged that the sound system was operating at a high volume as the procession passed near the farm. Shortly afterward, a large number of chickens were found dead within the premises.

The poultry owner said that the birds showed signs of distress during the period when the music was being played. He claims that the sudden and intense noise may have triggered shock among the chickens, leading to their deaths.

Local police have acknowledged receiving the complaint and confirmed that an inquiry has been initiated. Officials said they will assess whether the sound levels exceeded permissible limits and if there was any violation of noise regulations. Statements from witnesses and individuals involved in the wedding procession are also expected to be recorded as part of the probe.

Veterinary experts may be consulted to determine the exact cause of death. While the poultry owner attributes the incident to noise-induced shock, authorities have not yet confirmed this as the definitive cause.

Incidents involving alleged harm to animals due to loud noise are not commonly reported but have been documented in certain cases. Authorities typically rely on scientific evaluation and environmental guidelines to determine accountability in such situations.

As of now, no arrests or penalties have been reported in connection with the case. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have stated that further action will depend on the findings of the inquiry.
