Amid a spate of exit poll projections for the Assembly elections, a Kerala-focused forecast by Sudarshan TV has sparked trolls and memes on social media. The survey, reportedly, predicts outcomes for 158 seats, even though the state has only 140 constituencies. Interestingly, the pollster has projected 18 seats for the BJP-led NDA, the highest tally predicted for the alliance by any survey.
While releasing the exit poll figures, the channel claimed it was the largest 'AI Exit Poll' across the five states.
The exit polls predict the LDF will come to power in the state with 78 seats, while the UDF will win 62 seats.
In West Bengal, the network projects a narrow victory for the TMC with 148 seats against the BJP’s 138, while in Tamil Nadu, the DMK leads with 122 seats compared to the AIADMK’s 94 and the BJP’s 12. The forecast for Assam suggests a competitive edge for the NDA with 60–72 seats, followed by Congress at 45–58, whereas in Puducherry, the NDA is tipped to take the lead with 16 seats over the Congress's 12.
