With West Bengal voting in the second phase for the Assembly elections, all eyes are currently on Bhabanipur, where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee takes on BJP chief Suvendu Adhikari. The poll temperature in the constituency peaked after Mamata and Adhikari landed in the same polling booth area in Bhabanipur's Chakraberia and took swipes at one another.
Suvendhu, while attacking the Chief Minister, also made bold claims about his victory. "Mamata Banerjee is under pressure. I will win by a margin of more than 30,000 votes," before taking a dig at the Chief Minister's age and saying, "She is old, vote and go home now."
“I see that the voting is going well. People have woken up, she (Mamata Banerjee) is losing. Why is she coming here to scare Hindu voters? She (Mamata Banerjee) will lose, the BJP will win. I am leading in seven wards; she will get nothing in ward number 77," she said.
He also exorted people to come out and vote. “The voting is going well; there should be more votes. It is raining lightly, and the weather is good. Come out of the house and vote for democracy. Take an umbrella with you and vote."

The BJP chief was also seen carrying an umbrella during his booth visits. He went to Mitra Institution in the afternoon. In his words, "I will win in this booth too," he said.
He also questioned why Mamata is roaming around Bhabanipur with so many aides. "Section 163 of BNSS is in force here. Mamata Banerjee is roaming around with so many people. Why is she roaming here?" Subhendu said.
