Navi Mumbai Police have reportedly issued a look out circular against the parents of sacked IAS officer Puja Khedkar for evading arrest in a road rage and abduction case.
The police are also checking all exit routes to prevent the accused from fleeing the country.

The case pertains to the abduction of a truck driver, Prahlad Kumar Chouhan, who went missing after an accident in Navi Mumbai on September 13 and was later traced to Puja’s family bungalow in Pune.
According to police, the mixer truck brushed against the SUV of Puja’s father, Dilip Khedkar, near the Airoli signal.
The incident triggered an altercation, following which Dilip, with the help of his bodyguard Praful Salunkhe, allegedly bundled Prahlad in his SUV, took him to Pune and confined him at their bungalow.
According to police, Dilip’s wife, Manorama, obstructed the cops from entering their residence. However, the team managed to rescue Prahlad and brought him back to Navi Mumbai,
Manorama is also accused of intentionally destroying the CCTV footage at the bungalow.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Rahul Dhas said Prahlad was confined in a watchman’s room and threatened with severe consequences if he did not pay compensation for the damage to his car.
Last week, police arrested Praful, but both Dilip and Manorama are still absconding.
The incident came as yet another setback to Puja, who had been discharged from service by the central government in September 2024 under Rule 12 of IAS (Probation) Rules, 1954.
The 2023-batch officer is accused of misrepresenting herself under the physical disabilities category to qualify for the exam and later abusing her position. She also allegedly submitted a fake Other Backwards Class (OBC) certificate.
The UPSC has cancelled the provisional candidature of Khedkar and also debarred her from all future examinations or selections. The Delhi Police have filed an FIR against Puja and are investigating the case.
