Heavy rains continued to batter Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Wednesday, inundating rivers and flooding several low-lying areas.
Many of the city roads witnessed waterlogging and traffic congestion, causing inconvenience to commuters.
Water level in the Yamuna river at Old Railway Bridge stood at 207.48 metres at 7 am on Thursday, with floodwaters reaching close to the Delhi secretariat. The building houses the offices of the chief minister, cabinet ministers and key bureaucrats.
The Old Railway Bridge serves as a key observation point for tracking the river's flow and potential flood risks.
Floodwater also reached Shri Marghat Wale Hanuman Baba Mandir near Kashmere Gate, according to reports.
