Hyderabad witnessed heavy waterlogging, bringing traffic to a standstill, as rains and thunderstorms lashed the city on Monday.
Several low-lying areas were submerged, and major roads saw heavy waterlogging.
Heavy rains are expected to continue in the evening as well, and the Hyderabad Traffic Police issued a warning saying, "Heavy thunderstorm warning for GHMC from 3:30-5:30 PM.
Expect 50-60mm #Rainfall .
Avoid travel unless it's emergency."

T. Balaji, a weather enthusiast and private weather blogger based in Telangana, popularly known as Telangana Weatherman, asked people to stay indoors.
"Dear people of Hyderabad. It's going to be DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORM for entire Hyderabad City. I'm repeating it again. Please stay indoors. Massive CUMULONIMBUS is developing. 50mm expected in very short time. Please STAY ALERT," he said in a tweet.
"As per all the expectations, MASSIVE STORM event is lashing Hyderabad City. It will continue till 5.45/6pm later reduce to light rains. We have more storms later in the night, but of lesser intensity," he said in another tweet.
