After sweeping the Delhi assembly elections, BJP is on the 'hunt' to select the next chief minister of the national capital. The BJP has returned to power in Delhi after 27 years, defeating the AAP in the assembly polls.
BJP won 48 of the 70 seats and secured a majority in the elections, while AAP could win only 22 seats. In a major setback for AAP, former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, and deputy CM Manish Sisodia lost in the elections.

With BJP returning to power, the big question is who will be the next Delhi CM? Will the BJP go for a surprise pick?
The BJP leaders has indicated that the formation of the government is likely to take place after Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns from his foreign visit. PM Modi is slated to visit the United States on February 12-13. He will meet US President Donald Trump marking the first meeting between two leader after the latter took office.

Meanwhile, reportedly, BJP president J.P. Nadda met Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday and discussions were held on picking the next CM face.
BJP's Delhi unit president Virendra Sachdeva has said that the decision of the CM would be taken by the party's central leadership.
The top contenders for the CM post include, BJP's Parvesh Verma, who defeated AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and emerged as a "giant killer". Verma is the son of former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma.
Vijender Gupta, Harish Khurana, Satish Upadhyay, Jitendra Mahajan and Ashish Sood are the other possible names making rounds for the CM post.
