Security forces killed a terrorist in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday. Arms and incriminating documents were recovered from him, Kashmir police said.
Based on intelligence inputs regarding presence of terrorists, security forces launched a cordon and search operation at Fressipora village, Rajpora area in south Kashmir. Police said the search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists fired upon the forces, who retaliated.
In the ensuing encounter, the terrorist was killed, the police said.
“Body of one #terrorist retrieved. Identification being ascertained. Arms, ammunition & #incriminating material recovered,” Kashmir police tweeted. Police added, “Search going on. Further details awaited.”
