Fed up by their superior's pillorying and alleged toxicity, two corporate employees and a former colleague used the internet to "teach him a lesson." According to reports, the three hatched a plan to honeytrap their superior. They not only succeeded but also blackmailed and stalked the victim online for about three months before he finally decided to file a police complaint.

Corporate enmity

The reel-like revenge story began in a corporate office in Gujarat's Vadodara. Among the three accused is a woman, who left the job under the victim, who allegedly made it a habit to humiliate his subordinates in public. Unable to take the pressure any longer, she resigned with a wrath-filled heart.

Later, she got in touch with two of her former colleagues, who held similar grudges against their boss for his bullying behaviour.

A cybercrime of patient planning and execution

According to reports, the trio made a fake account on Instagram and sent the "target" a follow request. The two men operated the account that claimed to be of a woman and initiated chatting with their boss. Over the months, they gained the trust of the man and texting made way for sexting.

The man was reportedly lured to sending his nudes to the fake account. The perpetrators used downloaded porn material from the internet as bait, a News 18 report said.

Once they had enough sensitive photos of their boss, they started blackmailing him over the internet. They exacted revenge on him in phases, the news report said. After tormenting him mentally through repeated threats, they mailed his nude images to the email of his company's human resource (HR) department.

The trio didn't stop there. They mailed the photos and screenshots of the sexual chats to the victim’s wife next. Printed copies of the same were delivered to her office address as well, the report said.

As the next step of the plan, they started stalking the man across internet platforms. It was then the victim decided to apporoach the police with a complaint. Soon, the fake Insta ID was traced back to the two men and their ex-colleague, the news report said quoting police sources.
