Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge along with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Congress leader Sachin Pilot and other senior leaders of the party released the poll manifesto for the state on Tuesday.
The party has promised to conduct caste census in the state and has promised to provide interest-free loans upto Rs 2 lakh for farmers. The party has also promised to provide MSP as per the report of M.S. Swaminathan for farmers. Congress has also promised a new scheme for recruitment at the panchayat level. Releasing the manifesto, Mallikarjun Kharge said, “Rajasthan has always been a stronghold of the Congress. We have always made promises that could be fulfilled." He added Congress will create 10 lakh job opportunities in five years in Rajasthan, including 4 lakh jobs in the government sector.
The Congress also promised to double the amount given to beneficiaries under the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh annually and interest-free loan of up to Rs 5 lakh to small traders, shopkeepers and young entrepreneurs.
The elections to 200 Assembly seats in Rajasthan will be held on November 25 and the counting of votes will be held on December 3.
