Delhi is likely to witness only light intensity/drizzle on Sunday, the India India Meteorological Department said, even as water-logging continues in several parts of the city. The IMD had earlier predicted more rainfall in the early hours of Sunday, and light to moderate showers in the later part of the day.

No significant rainfall was observed over Delhi during the past 3 hours, the IMD said in a tweet. "Delhi Radar suggests, Light intensity rain/drizzle likely to occur over and adjoining areas of isolated places of Delhi ( Jafarpur, Palam, IGI Airport, Ayanagar) during next 2 hours," it said.

Even as the water levels in Yamuna are slowly receding, water logging continues in several parts of the city.

The water level in Yamuna River was recorded at 206.14 mtrs at 0600 hours in Delhi, according to news agency ANI.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Saturday evening said Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up to take stock of the flood situation in the national capital. "Hon'ble Prime Minister Mr. @narendramodi
ji called up as soon as he reached home and took a detailed account of the flood situation in Delhi and took complete information about the related efforts being made. He again instructed to do all possible work in the interest of the people of Delhi with the help and cooperation of the Centre," he said in a tweet.

The city has been grappling with waterlogging and flooding issues for a week now. Initially, a downpour caused intense waterlogging on July 8 and 9, with the city receiving 125 per cent of its monthly rainfall quota in just two days.

Subsequently, heavy rains in the upper catchment areas, including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Haryana, led to the Yamuna swelling to record levels.
