Two passengers were arrested by Patna Airport police with the help of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) after they created ruckus onboard on the Delhi-Patna IndiGo flight. They were arrested on the basis of the formal complaint lodged by IndiGo. According to reports, they were drunk and also consumed alcohol on the flight, which is prohibited.
Both passengers were already drunk when they boarded the flight from Delhi and they continued drinking on the flight as well, said reports.
However, no commotion was created onboard, sources said.
CISF took them into custody on arrival and later handed them to the airport police.
Sources said that the passenger informed the crew that some people were drinking beer inside the flight. They were a group of six. The pilot was informed when the crew saw empty cans in the seat pockets.
"IndiGo complained that 2 male passengers travelling from Delhi to Patna were found drunk on flight 6E-6383. We checked on our alcohol anlayser device and registered a case. IndiGo manager shared a letter that they were drunk and were handed over to us by the airline," SHO Peter, Patna Airport police station told ANI.
The incident occurs days after Air India urinating issue, where the accused was drunk.
