Three commandos of the Centre Industrial Security Force (CISF) have been dismissed from service in connection with the security breach at the residence of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Two senior officers have been transferred.

The action was taken after a court of enquiry held the five officers guilty on various counts and recommended actions against them.

The commandos who were dismissed from service belonged to the Special Security Group (SSG). Those who were transferred are the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) heading this VVIP security unit and his second-in-command, a senior commandant-rank officer.

The alleged security breach took place on February 16 when a red-coloured SUV tried to enter through the gate of Doval's residence in central Delhi. The car was stopped and its driver was arrested by Delhi Police for trespassing a high-security area.

Doval, who enjoys Z+ category security, was present at his residence when the incidence took place.
