Haryana Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi told ANI on Saturday that he would be voting in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Haryana  as per wish and not under pressure.

“I have been a strong Congressman and I'm not talking to anyone else, won't take any decision before meeting Rahul Gandhi. Until then, I will not stand on any platform of Congress. I have not decided on RS vote, will vote according to my wish, not under pressure”, the ANI reported quoting Kuldeep.

Son of former Congress Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, Kuldeep has been unhappy about recent decisions by the party leadership including for not choosing him as party's State head and for not consulting him while taking crucial decisions, the Deccan Herald reported.

The Rajya Sabha elections for three seats from Haryana is scheduled on June 10 and there are three candidates in fray for the elections. The Congress party shifted its legislators to Raipur on Thursday to avoid horse-trading. Congress has fielded senior leader Ajay Maken and he would need 30 votes to get elected to the Upper House. According to The Tribune, Kuldeep has not joined the group of legislators who were shifted  to Raipur on Thursday.

Taking a jibe at the Congress leadership, Kuldeep in a tweet commemorating the death anniversary of former Chief Minister Rajiv Gandhi said that when any party takes decisions under pressure or money influence it is certain to sink. We miss the eternal Rajiv ji, the architect of modern India, he tweeted.

Kuldeep also met with Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recently. Tweeting about the meeting, Kuldeep said that they discussed in detail about issues pertaining to his constituency Adampur and and other issues.
