Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday, said the world is realising the speed and scale on which India is increasing its infrastructure and capacity building.

Addressing the Indian diaspora in Tokyo, Modi said Japan is an important partner in building this capacity. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed Rail and Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor are examples of India-Japan cooperation, he pointed out.

Calling Japan India's "natural partner" Modi, who is in Japan to attend a summit of the Quad leaders, said the country played an important role in India's development journey. Our relationship with Japan is of intimacy, spirituality, cooperation and belonging, he added.

He claimed that India is continuously serving humanity, and no matter how big the challenge is, India will find a solution to it. Even during the biggest crisis in the past 100 years caused by Covid-19, India helped people across the globe, he said. "When vaccines became available, India supplied 'Made in India' vaccines to crores of its citizens and also sent them to more than 100 countries of the world."

The prime minister said India is fortunate enough to have received the blessings of Gautam Buddha and added that today's world needs to follow the path shown by Buddha. “This is the way to save humanity from all the challenges facing the world today, be it violence, anarchy, terrorism or climate change.”

He praised the Indian diaspora, saying their dedication toward Indian culture and language is ever-growing. "We Indians get attached to our 'Karmbhoomi' with all our hearts but the love for our 'Matribhoomi' never fades away. We cannot stay away from our motherland. This is one of our biggest strengths."
