The Delhi Police on Wednesday detained an unidentified man for trying to enter the residence of National Security Adviser Ajit Doval.

NDTV reported the man attempted to enter Doval's residence in his car, but was stopped by security personnel. The special cell of Delhi Police is investigating the incident.

News 18 reported the man claimed “somebody fit a chip inside his body and he is being controlled”. Other media reports claimed the intruder was a resident of Bengaluru.

ANI quoted the Delhi Police as saying the intruder seemed to be “mentally disturbed”. The police added he was driving a rental car.
