In response to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's warning to people of Uttar Pradesh before the first phase of assembly polls that if they do not make the right choice, the state will become like Kerala, West Bengal or Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan came up with a list of things people of UP would get if the state become like Kerala.

"If UP turns into Kerala as  @myogiadityanath fears, it will enjoy the best education, health services, social welfare, living standards and have a harmonious society in which people won't be murdered in the name of religion and caste," the Kerala CM said in a tweet.

"That's what the people of UP would want," Vijayan said.

A few minutes before this tweet, the Kerala CM had posted pictures of the school buildings that have been constructed in the state with the tweet: "Inaugurated 53 new #school buildings as part of the second100 Day Programme which includes 1,557 projects worth ₹17,183.89 Cr. In the last 5 years, Kerala has invested approximately ₹5000 Cr in the infrastructure of public schools resulting in 9.34 lakh new admissions."

A few hours after he tweeted the response to the UP CM, he took it a step further by posting the same in Hindi as well.

Leader of Opposition in the Kerala assembly, V.D. Satheesan too reacted the UP CM's warning, asking people to "choose plurality, harmony, inclusive development."

"Dear #UP, vote to be like Kerala. Choose plurality, harmony, inclusive development to medieval bigotry. Keralites, Bengalis and Kashmiris are also proud Indians," he tweeted.

In his video address, the UP CM had said in the last five years, the double-engine government of the BJP has done everything with dedication and commitment. He pointed out that in the last five years, his government has made sure that villages have been electrified, much progress has been done in ensuring cleanliness and the safety of women.
