The anti-national forces are being weakened slowly, said Manmohan Vaidya

Barely a few days after the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) distanced themselves from comments in a journal that called Infosys "anti-national", the Sangh's top leader heaped praised on the RSS-affiliated magazine Panchajanya which is in the eye of the storm. “The Indian thought is all-inclusive. There are many forces which want to dim [weaken] its influence. These anti-national forces are being weakened slowly. In one sense, this is a dharmayudh, and Panchajanya is its herald," said RSS joint general secretary Manmohan Vaidya, in the presemce of former BJP general secretary Ram Madhav and key functionaries of the Sangh and BJP’s state unit, The Indian Express reported.

The journal had blasted tech giant Infosys for the tax portal glitches reported recently, speculating whether "anti-national forces were at play". The cover story in the magazine, titled Saakh Aur Aaghat (‘Reputation and Injury'), stated that the incident has resulted in growing mistrust against the tax system, and wondered if "anti-national forces were at play to sabotage India's economic system". The article also went on to allege that Infosys has been reported to be associated with left-wing and similar outlets aligned against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The RSS had distanced itself from the story. Sunil Ambekar, the RSS' all-India prachaar pramukh, said Panchjanya is not a mouthpiece of the RSS and the article reflects the author's opinion and should not be linked with the organisation.
