'Positivity Unlimited', a series of online lectures aimed at infusing confidence and positivity among people amid the COVID-19 situation, began on Tuesday.

Positivity Unlimited is being coordinated by the Covid Response Team, an organisation formed by the RSS and various affiliates and civil society groups. The series of lectures will be held over a period of five days and will culminate on May 15 with an address by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

"Imbibing confidence in the society setting aside fear, hopelessness, helplessness and negativity, motivating people to brace up for a long haul with huge societal changes after COVID-19 is the idea behind 'Positivity Unlimited' talk series," Lt Gen (retd) Gurmit Singh, the convener of CRT, said in a statement.

The lectures will begin daily from 4.30pm IST and will be available on over 100 media platforms, including the Facebook and YouTube pages of the Vishwa Samwad Kendra, the RSS's communications arm. On Tuesday, yoga guru Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and Jain Muni Shree Pramansagar delivered lectures.

During his address on Tuesday, Sadhguru said "people should not think about their lifestyle, but about their life in order to survive the Covid-19 pandemic," News 18 reported. Sadhguru, who was speaking from the US, was quoted by News 18 as saying "daily number of Covid-19 cases were irrelevant now as so many people were suffering from it. These numbers may be of guidance to the administration, but I think it is time to shift to a place where we educate people how to handle this, how to handle the symptoms.”

Referring to solutions to fight the pandemic, Sadhguru was quoted by News 18 as saying, "I recommend people to consume a concoction of herbs. Its origin is from a village in Tamil Nadu. It is not vaccination, but it would definitely boost your immunity. While it will not cure the virus, it will restrict the symptoms so low that you won’t have to end up in the ICU."

He also recommended breathing exercises to boost oxygen levels.

The schedule of Positivity Unlimited currently has yoga guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Wipro founder Azim Premji speaking on May 12, Sonal Mansingh and Shankaracharya Vijayendra Saraswati speaking on May 13 and Acharya Vidya Sagar and Mahant Gyandev Singh speaking on May 14.
