Noted RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat compared the Muslim-majority Ullal in Mangaluru to Pakistan, claiming that "love Jihad" and cow slaughter happens in the area. This is the second time Bhat compared Ullal to Pakistan. A few months ago, citing the demographic profile of Ullal, he had likened the region to Pakistan.

Speaking to the media, the RSS leader said the land which is now known as Pakistan was part of India and the people who live there were all Indians. He claimed that people living there changed their mindset after Partition and added that the same mindset is now seen in Ullal as well.

He further said unless Hindus in the area does not rise above Muslims, the latter will continue to dominate the former.

Citing the incidents of an attack on a fisher woman a few years ago and the murder of a youth, he said, "Cow slaughter and love jihad are happening in Ullal. If this is not Pakistan then what is it? What is the difference between Ullal and Pakistan," reported The Indian Express.

He also asked the people in the area to vote for a Hindu candidate instead of always electing a Muslim legislator. Ullal assembly constituency, which has been renamed Mangaluru constituency, is represented by Congress leaderĀ  U.T. Khader.

In November last year, the RSS leader had said, "Who will protect our temples and who will protect our traditions? Our numbers reduced and their numbers increased and that is why we got Pakistan and Bangladesh. If you go to Ullal, isn't it Pakistan?"
