Sachin Pilot's MLAs shift to new resort in Manesar, change their phone numbers

The SOG has made over 17 attempts in the past week to contact the rebel MLAs

Out to evade the Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) trailing them for a week, the Sachin Pilot faction of rebel Congress MLAs have shifted their base in Haryana's Manesar for the third time. The group reportedly shifted last night to Heritage Village Resort and Spa, and set up a tight three-tier security to prevent any information from leaking outside. According to the SOG, the resort has been fortified and the front gate is closed, while the kitchen gate is operational. In addition to an army of bouncers, Haryana cops too are reportedly placed to prevent the entry of SOG teams camping in cars outside. The resort staff are locked inside and not allowed to leave. The shift, according to sources, came in the wake of notices served to two previous resorts by the Rajasthan police, seeking CCTV footage and records.

"They are neither at Best Western Country Inn nor at ITC Grand Bharat. They are at this third resort and are on our radar. We are trying to get through as it also has been fortified. Our attempts to reach out to the MLAs to join investigations for the FIRs registered against them are being constantly obstructed," said ADG (SOG) Ashok Rathore. The SOG has made over 17 attempts in the past week to enter the resorts and speak to the MLAs, but were repeatedly stopped by Haryana police. The Rajasthan DGP Bhupender Singh Yadav has, meanwhile, written to Haryana DGP Manoj Yadava seeking cooperation rather than obstruction from local teams.

Meanwhile, all MLAs have changed their phone numbers and have even shunned the use of smartphones before shifting to the resort, as they were being reportedly tracked using social media and GPS. The resort staff also has reportedly surrendered their phones and are allowed to call family once a day. The resort authorities have so far issued no fresh statement.
