Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani shared an adorable video on Twitter of a young elephant and its antics to get a man, who is painting a fence, to play with it.
In the 30-second video, an elephant is seen trying to get the attention of a man painting the fence outside the animal's enclosure. The elephant's trunk snakes through the gaps of its enclosure to tap the painter on his shoulder and tug him to come play with it. The man, however, tries his best to carry on with the task at hand.
Not one to give up easily, the relentless pachiderm even climbs halfway over its enclosure to get the attention of the painter, who after seeing the lengths the animal was going to get his attention, finally gives up and plays with the elephant.
Nathwani did not mention where he got the video, but shared it on Sunday tagging the official Twitter handles of WWF India, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, I&B and Environment Minister Prakash Javadeka, Wildlife Trust India and Nat Geo Wild.
“In this adorable video, a young #elephant affectionately reaches out to the fence painter who plays with the animal. The elephant's playfulness is a treat for the eyes! A great instance of human-animal coexistence,” Nathwani tweeted.
