A 23-year-old law student in Uttar Pradesh went missing from her college hostel a day after she levelled harassment charges against former Union minister and BJP leader Swami Chinmayanand. According to reports, the girl, who had posted a video on Facebook on Friday accusing the BJP leader of “ruining the lives several girls”, has been missing since Saturday.

Chinmayanand is the president of the managing committee of the  Swami Sukhdevanand Post Graduate College in Shahjahanpur where the girl is studying.

In the video clip that has gone viral on social platforms, the girl can be seen requesting help from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

"A big leader of the Sant Samaj, who has destroyed the lives of many other girls, has threatened to kill me... I want to request Yogi ji and Modi ji to help me. He has threatened to kill my family. Only I know how I am living now ....Please help me,” she said.

She also claimed that she had all the evidence against the leader, and said “the sanyasi is threatening that the police, DM and everyone else is on his side”.

The girl's father said though he had filed a written complaint against Chinmayanand, no case has been registered against him so far. “My daughter never told me anything personally. She looked worried when she was home on Raksha Bandhan. She has been missing for four days. I have given a written complaint against college director Swami Chinmayanand but no action has been taken yet,” he told a TV channel.

He said after watching his daughter's video, he got a sense that his daughter and other girls in the college were sexually exploited.
