AIADMK announces candidates; here's the full list

The ruling party will contest in 20 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) on Sunday released the list of candidates for 20 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu where the party has formed a pre-poll alliance with the BJP, the DMDK and the PMK. The state goes to polls on April 18.

Here is the full list of AIADMK candidates

  1. K.R.S. Saravanan – Salem

  2. P. Kaliyapan – Namakkal

  3. K.P. Munuswamy – Krishnagiri

  4. G. Manimaran – Erode

  5. Thambidurai – Karur

  6. M.S.M. Anandan – Tirupur

  7. C. Mahendran – Pollachi

  8. Chengi Ve Ezhumalai – Arani

  9. S.S. Krishnamurthy – Thiruvannamalai

  10. Chandrasekhar – Chidambaram

  11. N.R. Sivapathi – Perambalur

  12. P. Ravindra Nath Kumar – Theni

  13. VVVR Rajasathyan – Madurai

  14. M. Thiyagarajan – Nilagiri

  15. P.H. Manojpandian – Thirunelveli

  16. Thazhai M. Saravanan – Nagapattinam

  17. S. Asaimani – Mayiladuthurai

  18. Dr P. Venugopal – Thiruvallur

  19. J. Jayavardan – Chennai South

  20. Marakadam Kumaravel – Kancheepuram

     

The BJP will field candidates in Kanyakumari, Sivagangai, Coimbatore, Thoothukudi and Ramanathapuram.

PMK will contest in Dharmapuri, Villuppuram, Arakkonam, Chennai Central, Dindigul, Sriperumbudur and Cuddalore. The DMDK has been allocated the constituencies of Kallakurichi, Tiruchirappalli, Chennai North and Virudunagar.

The AIADMK announced the candidates on the same day when the opposition DMK also released its list of candidates which included Rajya Sabha MP M.K. Kanimozhi, former Union ministers Dayanidhi Maran and A. Raja.
