The Allahabad high court , which has been monitoring Deoria shelter home sex racket case does not seem to be satisfied with the probe by SIT (Special Investigative Team). The court has raised questions about modus operandi of the SIT. The court said the SIT has not yet found out who would take the girls out from the shelter home and in what vehicles. It also questioned the police as to why statements of the girls have not been properly recorded.

The next hearing in this case will take place on August 20. The court was also not happy about the way the police have been investigating the incident. The court has asked why no action has been taken against the cops, who despite the ban, continued to send the girls back to the shelter home. Another question raised was what had been done to find information on the VIPs the girls were being sent to.

The chief justice D.B Bhosle and justice Yeshwant Verma have been following legal proceedings of the case.

ADG (crime) Sanjay Singhal and  SSP Deoria Rohan P Kanay, officials who are associated with the case  were present during the hearing.

The bench also expressed its displeasure over some news reports that revealed the identity of the victims. It warned that should something like this take place again, the guilty would be charged with contempt of court.

Additional Solicitor General, Manish Goel said on behalf of the UP government that the manager of the shelter home and three more people  been arrested and out of 48 girls, 47 have been rescued and authorities have sealed the shelter home.
