Four militants killed, soldier injured in Kashmir gunfight

Four militants were killed in an encounter with security forces at Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. A soldier was injured in the gunfight.

Security forces had launched a search operations in the area on Monday following information about the presence of militants. According to reports, the operation turned into an encounter on Wednesday morning after militants started firing at the forces.

Reports said the search operations are still on.

In another incident on Tuesday, security forces had arrested a terrorist identified as Abdul Majid Shah, a resident of Iqbal Colony in Pattan Baramulla. Forces had also recovered arms, ammunition and other incriminating materials  from him.
