Keeping your gut and liver happy in turn keeps you happy. Maintaining a healthy gut and liver is crucial for overall well-being. A healthy gut microbiome supports immune function, produces essential vitamins, and regulates inflammation, while a healthy liver detoxifies the body, metabolises nutrients, and regulates hormones.
When both the gut and liver are in sync, it helps boost energy, enhance digestion and support mental health as well. A healthy gut could also reduce the risk of chronic diseases like obesity, diabetes, and liver disease, promoting overall health and resilience.
Gastroenterologist Dr Saurabh Sethi, a Harvard and Stanford-trained expert based in California, through Instagram, shared four quick snacks that he eats throughout the day to maintain gut and liver health.
