Yoo In-shik, the acclaimed Korean filmmaker behind series such as "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" and "Dr. Romantic", has released his new K-drama, "100 Days of Deception", also known as "One Hundred Days of Lies", on Netflix. It’s a historical spy-romance drama that premiered on October 10, 2026.

The series airs on South Korean cable channel tvN and is now available to international viewers on Netflix.

The story takes place in Gyeongseong, now known as Seoul, in 1932. It follows Lee Ga-kyung, played by Kim You-jung, a talented pickpocket who dreams of leaving Korea and starting a new life in America. To achieve her goal, she tries to save enough money to escape her difficult circumstances.

Her life changes when she meets Gugukdan, a group fighting for Korean independence. The group offers her a dangerous mission: to work undercover as an interpreter trainee inside the Japanese Government-General of Joseon. She must complete the mission within 100 days by gathering secret information and helping with an assassination plan.

During her mission, Ga-kyung meets Kim Tae-woong, also known as Sato Hideo, played by Park Jin-young. He is a skilled Korean interpreter who works for the colonial government. As their relationship grows, Ga-kyung faces a difficult choice between her feelings for him and her duty to the independence movement.

The drama features Kim You-jung as Lee Ga-kyung, also known as Geum Seo-hui, and Park Jin-young as Kim Tae-woong, or Sato Hideo. Kim Hyun-joo plays Yoo So-ran, the leader of the independence group. Lee Moo-saeng appears as Yoo Phillip, while Jin Seon-kyu plays Sato Shinichi.

The series is a special project celebrating tvN's 20th anniversary. Yoo In-shik directed it from a script by Ryu Bo-ri, who wrote "Do You Like Brahms?"

"100 Days of Deception" spans 16 episodes, with two new episodes released every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. Korean Standard Time. The series runs from October 10 to November 29, 2026, with the final two episodes scheduled for November 28 and 29.
