Ravi Teja’s Telugu action drama "Irumudi" is set to make its digital debut on Netflix on September 18, 2026. The film will be available in its original Telugu audio, along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Directed by Shiva Nirvana, "Irumudi" has emerged as one of the biggest Telugu hits of 2026. Made on a reported budget of ₹35 crore, the film has delivered an impressive performance at the box office. "Irumudi" benefitted from a winning combination of action, family drama, and social thriller elements.
As it enters its fourth week in theatres, it has reportedly earned more than ₹178 crore in India net collections. Its India gross stands at over ₹206.85 crore, while the overseas gross is estimated at over ₹22.30 crore.
As of on its 25th day in theatres, September 14, the film’s worldwide gross had reportedly reached approximately ₹232.12 crore, per box office tracker Sacnilk. The success has made "Irumudi" the highest-grossing film of Ravi Teja’s career so far.
The film stars Ravi Teja alongside Priya Bhavani Shankar, Baby Nakshatra, Sai Kumar, Ramesh Indira, and Swasika Vijay. Shiva Nirvana directed from his own script, while Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar, and Shiv Chanana produced it. The technical crew includes music composer G.V. Prakash Kumar, cinematographer Vishnu Sarma, editor Prawin Pudi, and action choreographers Anal Arasu and Real Sathish.
What is 'Irumudi' about?
Ravi Teja plays Trinath, an alcoholic father with a violent past who lives quietly with his young daughter, Manikanta, near a village waterfall. Wanting to change for his daughter, Trinath takes up the sacred Ayyappa Deeksha. However, a disturbing mystery involving missing girls soon threatens the village. Trinath’s belief in raising his daughter without fear is contrasted with another father, Gopal Raju, who teaches his daughter to remain silent out of fear. As the danger reaches his own family, Trinath is forced to confront the people behind the crimes. His journey transforms him from a troubled father into a determined protector, while the film delivers a strong message about courage, safety, and empowering children.
